Philosophy of Care
With any of my patients, I believe the first and most important step is listening. Listening involves understanding all of the many factors that contribute to a patient’s health then formulating a plan based on individual needs. I believe in helping patients achieve their health goals on their terms, providing them with current evidence-based guidelines to their individual health problems and then creating a plan that is unique to the individual’s needs. I believe in the power of healthy lifestyle behaviors to enhance one’s health. My goal is to help patients incorporate these lifestyle behaviors into their lives.
Professional Focus
As a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner, I do not have an area of specialty. I do spend a lot of time helping patients to understand how lifestyle can impact their health. In particular, understanding the concepts of how the things that we eat, drink, and do can improve our overall health picture.
Fun Facts
I spend a lot of my down time at the beach doing a variety of activities from paddleboarding, fishing, or just a reading a book. I have a little Shih Tzu named Coco who depends on me for food. Another hobby of mine is keeping a healthy lifestyle that incorporates daily exercise with healthy eating. You may even see me out walking the park by our Gifford location at lunch. I love the community that I get the opportunity to care for. Lastly, I get to work with my wife a Nurse Practitioner here at TCCH and absolutely love that we get to share in the mission here together.
