Philosophy of Care
I believe that working as a team to come up with the best course of action for each individual person is important. Together we can help improve your life as well as your mental health. I do not judge anyone and try to make everyone feel like they can confide in me as I too have struggled with depression and anxiety, so I understand how difficult it can be to seek help. I understand that each individual’s journey is completely different and solutions should be tailored to fit the individual. I feel that everyone deserves their voice to be heard and their feelings validated. Tackling mental health can be frightening, but together we can overcome these struggles!
Professional Focus
I see patients 4-years-old and up. I enjoy teenagers, but I can see and treat many different age groups and diagnoses. I have experience in treating ADHD in adults and children, depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorders, as well as PTSD in veterans as well as civilians. I consider different options of treatments, not just medications. I have 3 children and I understand the conflict a parent feels about medicating their child, because I too have struggled with medicating my two younger ones for ADHD. I do not push medications and will respect the choices that each patient or parent makes.
Fun Facts
I love sports, whether it is playing them or watching them on TV. I especially enjoy attending sporting events when I have extra time. I also enjoy spending time with family, but I enjoy my alone time as well!
