Philosophy of Care
Health care and personal well-being, both physically and mentally, have always been my professional and personal primary interests for children and their families. When speaking with children and families it is always important to to develop a comfort level through relaxation, good communication, and mutual respect. While emphasizing compassion, it is always important to listen and acknowledge perspectives from family members as well as the children.
Professional Focus
Within the realm of Mental Health therapy, it is important to achieve a balance within the family unit as well as within the school environment. I have always had an interest in working with children with exceptionalities. Specifically, helping families cope with behaviors and learning styles for children with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Intellectual Disabilities.
Fun Facts
Some fun areas of interests for me is being as active as possible within our daily hectic lives. I love to exercise in the gym as well as the outdoors, play golf, and watch and participate in all sports.
