Philosophy of Care

My philosophy of care is to treat each patient with an individualized approach because health care is not a one-size fits all. I aim to learn about what my patients’ goals, fears, and expectations are prior to treatment so we can work to create a space where a patient feels informed, empowered and involved in the diagnosis and treatment process. I want to ensure a patient understands the “why” behind dental disease(s), and I focus on prevention through small, realistic changes.  I recognize that patients may oftentimes feel intimidated or vulnerable at the dentist, so I strive to change that script and make it a welcoming experience and environment.

Professional Focus

I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and all patient populations. I thrive when my patients are as invested in their care as I am. I find it rewarding when a patient realizes they are deserving of quality care and they are committed to learning about their health and reaching their oral health goals in a partnership with our dental team. Interdisciplinary care, the oral-systemic connection, mental health, and conquering dental anxiety are each a priority in my practice.

Fun Facts

I like having hobbies as my hobby… meaning I don’t commit to a single hobby long enough to excel in it, but I’ll dabble in anything. I can often be found petting animals, so please tell your pet I said, “Hi.” I love spending time with my church community, exploring outdoors, fitness, dancing, travel, games, and a good art and craft.
