Philosophy of Service
My philosophy of service as a Board member at TCCH is grounded in stewardship of the mission and accountability to the community we serve. I view the Board’s role as holding the organization in trust, ensuring that every strategic decision, policy, and allocation of resources advances TCCH’s purpose of providing accessible, high-quality care to those who need it most.
I believe strong governance requires listening first. Centering the patient voice and the lived experiences of our community helps ensure that access, quality, and equity are not abstract values but measurable realities. This means asking hard questions about who is being served, who may still face barriers to care, and how TCCH can continuously improve outcomes while maintaining dignity and respect for every patient.
Ultimately, my service philosophy is to lead with integrity, humility, and accountability, balancing fiduciary responsibility with moral responsibility, so TCCH remains a strong, patient-centered, and community-driven organization.
Professional Focus
Within TCCH’s mission and work, my primary areas of interest as a Board member center on strategy, quality, and long-term sustainability. I am particularly interested in supporting thoughtful strategic planning that aligns growth with mission, ensuring that expansion of services, sites, or partnerships meaningfully improves access to care while maintaining clinical excellence and financial stability.
Quality and patient safety are core priorities for me. I believe the Board plays a critical role in setting expectations for continuous quality improvement, using data and patient feedback to guide oversight and ensure that care is safe, effective, and patient-centered. Closely tied to this is the overall patient experience, including how patients navigate the system, feel respected and heard, and build trust in TCCH as their medical home.
I am also deeply interested in financial sustainability and responsible stewardship of resources. Strong financial oversight enables TCCH to remain resilient, invest in its workforce, and adapt to changing healthcare and reimbursement environments without compromising access or quality.
Access to care, especially for underserved populations, drives my interest in growth and community partnerships. I see partnerships with community organizations, schools, and social service providers as essential to addressing barriers beyond the clinic walls and strengthening TCCH’s role as a community anchor. Finally, I am committed to workforce development and support, recognizing that a stable, engaged, and well-supported workforce is foundational to delivering high-quality care and advancing the mission.
