Treasure Coast Community Health (TCCH) has earned three Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) badges from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), recognizing the organization’s commitment to improving health care through technology, delivering high-value care, and expanding access to essential health services for Indian River County residents.

The three HRSA badges earned by TCCH are Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality, High-Value Care, and Improving Health Care Access.

By focusing on quality measures and using data to identify opportunities for improvement, TCCH continually strengthens the care it provides to Indian River County residents. The organization’s focus on measurable outcomes helps its care teams identify patient needs, improve services, and ensure patients receive high-quality, comprehensive care.

Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality

The Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality Badge recognizes health centers that effectively use health information technology to support quality improvement and patient engagement.

To earn this badge, health centers demonstrate that they:

• Offer telehealth services.
• Exchange clinical information online with key providers across health care settings.
• Engage patients through health information technology.
• Collect data on patients’ health-related needs.

For TCCH, this recognition highlights the organization’s continued use of technology to improve communication, strengthen care coordination, engage patients, and make health care more accessible.

High-Value Care

The High-Value Care Badge recognizes a health center’s ability to provide quality care while managing health care costs effectively.

To qualify, a health center must meet or exceed a Quality Score of 18.0, placing it among the top 20% based on 2023 and 2022 UDS performance, while also meeting or falling below the Percentage Cost Growth Benchmark of 2.54%, placing it among the top 30% based on 2023 and 2022 UDS data.

This recognition demonstrates TCCH’s commitment to achieving strong quality outcomes while being responsible stewards of health care resources.

Improving Health Care Access

The Improving Health Care Access Badge recognizes health centers that demonstrate measurable progress in expanding access to care and services.

Health centers can earn this badge by achieving at least one of several access-related benchmarks, including earning an HCQL or NQL badge; improving by at least 15% in one or more Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs) in back-to-back UDS reporting years; or increasing by at least 5% in back-to-back UDS reporting years the total number of patients or the number of patients receiving mental health, substance use disorder, vision, dental or patient support services.

The recognition underscores TCCH’s ongoing efforts to ensure that more members of the community can access the comprehensive health care and support services they need.

Together, the three CHQR badges recognize TCCH’s comprehensive approach to health care quality—leveraging technology, focusing on value and outcomes, and removing barriers to access.
