TCCH Announces Construction of New State-of-the-Art Pediatric Center

Treasure Coast Community Health, a leader in children’s health services, is proud to announce the construction of a new Oslo Pediatric Center; groundbreaking details will be released soon. This innovative facility is designed to deliver expert care to children and their families, combining comprehensive treatment approaches and a child-friendly environment, along with strategic partnerships.

Enhancing Healthcare for Our Youngest Patients

The new Pediatric Center will span 20,000 square feet and include care coordination and specialized departments, such as:

  • Primary Pediatric Medicine: Treatment and diagnosis for various childhood conditions with on-site pharmacy, lactation services, diabetes care, lab, EKG and x-ray.
  • Behavioral and Mental Health Services: A holistic approach to emotional well-being for children and families.
  • Pediatric Dentistry: Children as young as 3 will be established within the dental department to help create good dental habits, reduce anxiety, and provide family education.
  • Rehabilitation and Therapy Programs: Including physical, occupational, and speech therapies.
  • Healthy Start Coalition: On-site to reduce infant and maternal mortality through education
  • Family-Centered Amenities: Designed to create a welcoming and supportive environment for children and their caregivers.

The facility will ensure a holistic and supportive experience for every child and caregiver.

A Commitment to Community

“The Oslo Pediatric Center represents a significant investment in the future of our community,” said Vicki Soulé, TCCH CEO. “We are committed to providing top-tier healthcare for children in a setting that promotes healing, comfort, and trust.”

The operation of the Pediatric Center is expected to generate roughly 28 local jobs, including opportunities in healthcare and administrative support. Once operational, this Pediatric Center is expected to serve nearly 15,000 additional children, more than doubling the number of pediatric patients currently seen across all eight of TCCH’s facilities.

The Oslo Pediatric Center is a vision for healthy beginnings. Oslo is home to the largest pediatric population in Indian River County where many households experience financial insecurities. “TCCH is intentionally and systematically confronting a healthcare crisis. Approximately half of Indian River County families live in poverty or are one paycheck away. These families are struggling to find and access affordable healthcare. TCCH is growing to meet this need,” said Lauretta Farrell, TCCH Chief Development Officer. “Building healthy futures is an organizational commitment to the children of our communities.”
